The particles remain on the filter medium, while the cleaned air leaves the filter on the clean air side. Because the filter medium in the cartridge is pleated, a large filter surface fits into a small space. This is what makes cartridge filters so compact and high-performing. That&#8217;s why we offer our <a href=\"https:\/\/ratec-systems.com\/en\/laser-fume-filter-with-precoating-tank\/\">laser smoke filter with precoat tank<\/a>, which pre-treats the filter medium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"filterklassen-und-filtermedien\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filter classes and filter media<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Which filter medium is suitable depends primarily on how hazardous the dust or smoke is. If the cleaned air is to be returned to the hall in the presence of carcinogenic components, such as when welding chrome-nickel steel, devices tested to ISO 21904 are required, often referred to as W3. For this, we use certified filter cartridges from specialized manufacturers, matched to the required class.
